Affiliate Program Terms

1. The program
These terms apply to anyone who joins the OpenSty affiliate program. OpenSty is operated from Slovenia, VAT ID SI14523817. You recommend OpenSty, and we pay a commission when a new host you referred pays for a subscription. You act independently: you aren't our employee, agent or representative. There is one level only: you don't earn from the referrals of people you referred.
2. Joining
You need an OpenSty account and must be at least 18. There are two ways to take part: - Partner: registered companies and sole traders in the countries we can pay, who are paid in cash. - Host credit: private individuals with a paid plan billed in euros, who earn credit on their own invoices. We can't pay cash to private individuals or to businesses registered in the low-tax countries listed under Slovenian law. Your details must be true and kept up to date. We may refuse an application.
3. Commission
You earn 20% of what a referred host actually pays us for their subscription, excluding tax and refunds, for as long as they keep paying. The rate is fixed when the host is referred. A free period earns nothing. If a referred host stops paying for more than 90 days, the referral ends and no more commission is earned from them. Each commission is held for 30 days. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the commission on it is reduced or cancelled. If it has already been paid or credited, we deduct it from your next payment or credit.
4. Who gets credit
A referral counts when someone uses your link or code before signing up, is a new customer who has never had an OpenSty subscription, and starts paying within 90 days of signing up. The most recent link before signup counts. A link is remembered for 90 days only if the visitor accepts cookies; otherwise it has to be used in the same visit. Once a host starts their first checkout, the referral can't be changed. We don't add referrals by hand afterwards.
5. Cash payment for partners
Once you have at least 50 EUR ready, you get a monthly statement in your dashboard. You send us a valid invoice for that amount by uploading it there, with VAT as shown on the statement. After we've checked it, we pay through Stripe to your connected Stripe account. Amounts are in euros. Stripe verifies your identity and holds your bank details. Money we can't pay for 12 months because you haven't provided valid payment details or an invoice is forfeited.
6. Credit for private hosts
Your commissions are added as credit to your OpenSty billing balance after the hold, and reduce your next invoices. Credit has no cash value, can't be withdrawn or transferred, and stays on your account if you cancel.
7. Taxes
You're responsible for your own taxes and for any registration your activity requires. We may ask for proof of your registration and check your VAT ID with the EU's VIES service before each payment. We may share what we pay you with tax authorities where the law requires it.
8. What's not allowed
You may not: - Refer yourself, your own accounts or accounts you control - Create fake accounts or give false information - Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages - Bid on "OpenSty" or similar terms in paid search or use them in domain names - Publish on coupon or discount sites - Make false claims about OpenSty, or suggest you're OpenSty or an official partner - Sell or transfer your commissions We may hold any commission while we look into a possible breach.
9. Say that you earn
Wherever you share your link, you must clearly say that you may earn a commission from it, as advertising and consumer protection laws require.
10. Changes
We may change these terms or the commission rate with 30 days' notice. A new rate applies only to hosts referred after it takes effect. If you don't agree to a change, you can leave the program.
11. How it ends
You can leave at any time by contacting us. We may end the program with 30 days' notice. If it ends this way, or if you leave, we pay what you've earned up to that date, subject to these terms. If you break these terms, we may suspend you immediately. You then lose unpaid commissions and any future ones.
